Michigan Department of Treasury to Hold Public Liquor License Auction on March 20th

Persons interested in obtaining a Class-C liquor license for their business may attend a public auction on March 20, 2018 at 10 a.m. This event will be held at 7285 Parsons Drive, Dimondale, MI 48821, and will feature the sale of six liquor licenses, ranging from a starting bid of $5,000 for a base Class-C license to a minimum of $70,000 for a Class-C Resort License. These licenses are for locations,  including: Newago County, Luce County, Montcalm County, and Wayne County.

Currently, there is no need to register for the event.  Prospective purchasers should be aware that any winning bids must be fully paid within 24 hours of the auction’s completion. Lastly, purchasers should be aware that sale is conditioned upon the acceptance and approval of the sale by the State of Michigan Liquor Control Commission, and any other supervising entities.
