Melissa Demorest LeDuc was recently appointed to the City of Birmingham Board of Ethics. The Board of Ethics plays an important role in preserving and protecting the integrity and honor of the City of Birmingham. Birmingham adopted an Ethics Ordinance to create rules of conduct for all City of Birmingham employees. The Board of Ethics was created to address questions or complaints regarding the applicability of Ethics Ordinance provisions or specific circumstances. When issues of applicability arise, the city directs any questions and/or complaints to the Board of Ethics. The Board of Ethics may conduct hearings and issue advisory opinions as appropriate.
Melissa joins the Board with three other members, and her term expires in June 2026. She looks forward to serving in this important role. Congratulations Melissa!
