In late October, Mark Demorest, the Managing Member of Demorest Law Firm, attended the 2021 Primerus Global Conference in Leesburg, Virginia. This was the first in-person Primerus conference in two years due to the pandemic. There, Mark had the opportunity to reconnect and collaborate with other Primerus members from around the country and participate in various educational programs.
Demorest Law Firm, PLLC has been a proud member of Primerus since 2007. The International Society of Primerus Law Firms is a society of the world’s finest independent, boutique law firms. Primerus consists of about 200 member firms in over 40 countries.
You can think of Primerus as a virtual law firm consisting of 3,000 carefully-vetted Primerus lawyers. Each of the 3,000 Primerus lawyers adds to the strength of our law firm in three ways: (1) they are available to help us (and have often done so) when one of our clients needs a lawyer in New York, Los Angeles, London, Hamburg, Beijing, Mexico City or elsewhere in the world; (2) the 3,000 Primerus lawyers also regularly provide us with their expertise in different areas of law and help us with specialized projects; and (3) finally, our Primerus colleagues are available to lend a hand when we need extra manpower for a particular project.
In order to be admitted for membership in Primerus, a law firm must demonstrate that it is committed to follow the Six Pillars of Primerus: Integrity, Excellent Work Product, Reasonable Fees, Continuing Legal Education, and Civility and Community Service.
As always, if you have any legal questions please reach out and we will be more than happy to help or refer you to one of our excellent Primerus colleagues if you need legal representation outside of Michigan.
