Demorest Law Firm had the pleasure of speaking to a group of hotel and restaurant managers and HR people a few weeks ago. We presented a seminar entitled “Is it Legal?” on behalf of the Detroit Metro Convention and Visitors Bureau (“DMCVB”). The DMCVB is a nonprofit organization made of experts in the hospitality industry with the goal of promoting metro Detroit regionally, nationally and internationally as a convention, business meeting and tourism destination.
We enjoyed talking with the attendees at this event, who asked a lot of good questions. We wanted to share some of these questions and answers for others in the hospitality industry who were unable to attend the event. We will be releasing these questions and answers in a series of six blogs entitled “Is it Legal? Answers to Questions on Employment and Hospitality Law.”
