Congratulations to Mark Demorest, managing partner of Demorest Law Firm, for his completion of Advanced Mediation Training from Oakland Mediation Center. Mark has been an approved Oakland County Civil Mediator since 2014. Mark is also the founding member of Demorest Dispute Resolution, LLC, a mediation practice focused on resolving difficult negotiations.
Mediators are responsible for acting with honesty, integrity and impartiality to assist parties in identifying issues and exploring solutions to find a settlement that both parties are satisfied with. Oakland County requires approved civil mediators to complete an extensive training program approved by the State Court Administrator highlighting these skills. In addition, approved civil mediators must also have observed and conducted mediation sessions.
