The Detroit Free Press recently posted an interesting article entitled “Start-ups surge in Detroit, across U.S. despite economy,” regarding the boom in start-ups in the area, and why now is such a good time to start a business.
The article explains, in part:
“[U]nlike during the depths of the recession, when entrepreneurs were starting companies based out of desperation, entrepreneurs now are more likely to form a business based on a viable idea, increasing the chances the ventures will be successful and longer-lasting.”
Quoting Dane Stangler, Kauffman’s vice president of research and policy.
